What other travelers are saying about Kajiharayama Park
Great scenic spot. I just found it by browsing Google map. It doesn't seem to be an advertised spot. It looks like only the locals know about it. Kinda tricky to drive up there. But definitely worth it. Overviewing the whole city of Shizuoka City, Fuji San, the Pacific ocean in the background. Many picnic tables available and a couple of shelters in case of rain or hard sun.
I climbed by bicycle.
The climb was steep from the beginning to the middle, and after the rain it was slippery, even more so with fallen leaves and moss.
Kajiwarayama Park is 279 meters above sea level.
The view is amazing!
You can see the entire plains of Shizuoka City. I'm sure the night view is even more beautiful.
This park makes use of the slope, so it's best not to play ball here.
There's a memorial tower for Kajiwara Kagetoki, after whom Mt. Kajiwara was named.
The cherry blossoms usually bloom in late March to early April, making it the best time to visit if you want to see the park's sakura in full bloom.
The park has designated picnic areas with benches and tables. Some areas may allow barbecuing, but it's recommended to check local regulations before planning your visit.
Yes, pets are welcome in the park, but they must be kept on a leash at all times, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them.
Cycling is permitted on designated paths within the park. Visitors should follow park guidelines and be mindful of pedestrians.
