What other travelers are saying about Kegon Waterfalls
Stunning stunning location! It is clean and well presented. Stop at the top and enjoy a view from the top. Grab some food or snack the purchase a lift ticket and then you are on your way to the bottom to see some amazing views of the waterfall. The waterfall is very high and a beautiful blue colour. This waterfall is a must see attraction.
Nice view of the water fall from the viewing deck, we did not view it from the lower deck as it was closed by 5pm. The view of the waterfall is nice and had a nice overview to it. The air is fresh and the spring summer air is great!
Spectacular falls from a natural volcanic lake ...the only way down is via a lift cut into solid rock and a tunnel walk onto a viewing area ¥600. Can get somewhat crowded with school tours etc even on a Monday.
Kegon Waterfalls in Nikko, Japan, offer a breathtaking view surrounded by rich wildlife and natural beauty. Located at Lake Chuzenji, the falls have a fascinating history and are among Japan’s most famous. Visitors access the best vantage point via a lift and tunnel, revealing three stunning waterfalls. The steep drive uphill is well worth it. At the viewing platform, small local gifts can be purchased, adding charm to this unforgettable experience.
Easy to get to from nikko by bus. Buying a ticket was easy and it wasn’t too crowded even though I went at around 12pm. Great view of the falls from the viewing platform and there are some good little souvenir shops as well.
