I went on a weekday. It was mid of the November. It was crowded. It was super scenic and great view. But anyway although it is crowded you can enjoy the view. Many street food stalls you can taste the food for affordable prices. There were enough car parkings with 500¥ and 1000¥. You can worship several shrines there. The one in the top of the mountain is really beautiful. You can buy Omiyage and Chinese foods. Some Chinese stalls with hand woven kitchen items and handmade Japanese items. Super day to enjoy the Autumn at Korankei.

Korankei Gorge is a stunning destination known for its vibrant autumn colors, illuminated riverbanks, and delicious street food offerings. Visitors recommend coming in the late afternoon to catch the sunset hues and staying till nightfall to witness the enchanting light-up of the area. Despite heavy traffic jams and crowded conditions, guests rave about the beauty of peak red momiji leaves in December, easy-to-follow trail paths, diverse food stalls offering soup dumplings and yakitori, as well as the magical atmosphere during golden hour. Practical tips include arriving early to avoid crowds, using public transport due to traffic congestion, dressing warmly for colder weather at night, and planning extra time when leaving via bus during peak seasons.
The photo was taken on 20 Nov 2025 when it was at its peak autumn color. Lucky to have clear sky on that day. We took a train to Toyotashi then change to bus 61. Quite smooth as we went on weekday and early morning. The festive food stalls were up as early as 10am. The compound is not very big but worth to spend at least 2 hrs there. You can see the autumn leaves all around the Gorge.
I went on a weekday the late of November. It was super crowded. Sadly i come to late, haven't get a chance to explore all the beautiful places such as shrines 🥲 but i'm glad i get a chance to come here and enjoy the autumn foliage. The scenic was so beautiful despite over crowded you still can enjoy it. There many street food stalls and local sourvenirs that you can try. Overall it's a good trip.
Awesome place to be both at peak and off season as it’s beautiful and peaceful respectively.
Went there to find peace and will go again to see the real beauty later in yuki.
