The best fresh strawberries and the best soft ice cream.
Visited there after office hour. Will come again!
Great place
I've been interested in this place for a while, but I've mostly bought them as gifts or for takeout...
I went strawberry picking for the first time.
It seems there are several greenhouses, so even if you make a reservation, it seems like you won't know until the day of the event.
It was colder inside the greenhouse than I expected, but there were so many strawberries that it didn't even bother me.
Today's strawberries were...Akihime, Oi C Berry, Starlight, and Yotsuboshi.
I wasn't able to eat Benihoppe at the greenhouse I visited this time.
Akihime was the sweetest, and my kids devoured them.
I think parents went for Oi C Berry.
There are sheets on the ground, so it's safe for strollers and wheelchairs.
I thought the strawberry shelves were just the right height for adults, but they're actually a good height for kids to reach.
However, if a child runs under the shelves, it can be difficult for parents, as they have to crouch down to chase after them.
It's narrow, so it's difficult to pass each other.
The white bean paste daifuku was also chewy and not too sweet, and was delicious.
Overall, I was very satisfied!
Reason for 4 stars...
There is no hand-washing area inside the house, so it's a good idea to bring extra hand towels.
I brought new baby wipes with me this time, but we used about half of them.
There is a diaper changing station, but since it's an outside toilet, I thought it might be visible from some angles.
The parking lot is covered in gravel, so stroller tires get caught in it.
Visitors can participate in seasonal fruit picking, feed and interact with farm animals including cows, goats, and sheep, and join hands-on workshops for making cheese and butter. The farm also offers walking trails through the property and a restaurant serving meals made with farm-grown ingredients.
The nearest train station is Tsuyama Station on the JR Tsuyama Line, located approximately 25 kilometers from the farm. From there, the journey takes about 35 minutes by car or taxi. While limited bus services run to nearby villages, renting a car or taking a taxi is the most convenient option for reaching the farm.
General admission to the farm grounds costs ¥500 for adults and ¥300 for children. Additional fees apply for specific activities such as fruit picking workshops and cheese-making classes. Parking at the farm is free for all visitors.
Mimasaka Farm operates an on-site restaurant that serves meals prepared using vegetables, dairy products, and other ingredients produced at the farm. The menu features dishes inspired by local Okayama cuisine. A farm shop also sells fresh produce, artisanal dairy products, and handmade goods for visitors to purchase.
The farm operates at 400 meters elevation using mountain water from the Chūgoku Mountains. It combines traditional and organic farming methods, produces artisanal dairy products, and offers hands-on agricultural experiences for visitors.
