One of the best capital city station in Kyushu. It's only a short distance from the shotengai area, and the way is filled with interesting shops & cafes, there's no dull walk if you spend a daytrip here. Cool surf motive design, wavy pattern everywhere. There are also all kinds of facilities at 3-4 Amu Plaza buildings surrounding the station. Lastly, take a pic with hyuganatsu-kun just outside.

I came to Miyazaki for a trip and I went to the staition to ride a local train, 10 km off Miyazaki. Miyazaki station had a mc Donald's and a lot of restaurants. The Limited express looks cool and the local trains look cool. Miyazaki looks like a staiton from the future.

One of the major stations in Kyushu where you can buy the JR Kyushu Rail Pass. The ticket center/ station office is helpful, as well as the tourist information center. The station itself has many floors for dining and shopping, and the vicinity has many places to visit. The station has a big plaza out front where the bus terminal is located. There are maps to help you locate what you need.
