Designed by the acclaimed architect Arata Isozaki, this hall was opened in 1998 to mark the centennial of Nara’s establishment as a municipality. Its design, featuring sleek lines and an innovative use of space, represents a bold fusion of traditional Japanese aesthetics with cutting-edge architectural techniques.

30th August 2025 Went to watch my first Japanese Pro Wrestling match. It was extremely funny and exciting. I never thought seeing it live would be so different. It reminds me of me younger days watching WWE online. I really applaud and salute the talented wrestlers that gave their 100% to perform and entertain us. You can see how energy taxing each stunt is on the body. I will never forget this experience!

Large hall just beside the JR Nara station. Been here to watch Shiki Theater show and mesmerized by the acting and atmosphere. Some of the staff could use simple English.
