Denden Town - the place you visit if you want to feel like a kid again. The neighborhood is scattered with shopping, arcades, and quirky experiences. We easily spent half a day here on a date. Playing arcade games and rifling through various gachapon machines made us forget about the real world for a few hours. Yes, the neighborhood is touristy, but it has so many fun things to do that we would come back in a heartbeat. If you are looking to escape the crowds in Japan, Denden Town isn't nearly as crowded as Dotonbori.
This place is a paradise for geeks, filled with plenty of anime and manga merchandise, as well as a variety of other items. You’re sure to find what you’re looking for.
I was searching for Gundam cards and was not disappointed at all. The staff in the shops were incredibly accommodating.
