It is truly worth the visit, with children or not… including lunch (Reasonable prices and decent taste; menu included in this post), we spent around 4 to 5 hours there. Once you arrive, double-check the “show-time” in a different location (also shown in the post). There are several 15-minute shows in different locations, but no rush; they leave you enough time to walk between locations. Each building is accessible inclusively, no problem if you are a wheelchair user or elderly. One interesting experience was digging out the Pearl from the shell; I'm not sure what happened to the Pearl owner inside the shell afterwards. Still, my wife was very happy with it for sure, they will ask you to pick a type of product and put your pearl on it (only takes 5 minutes…), and it is only 3500 Yen, hence why my wife is happy, it is a real pearl…
The car park costs 500 Yen per car for the whole day. The park closed at 4:30pm, so leave enough time for shopping. Try to buy everything from the main store by the entry, as the tax-free mark is 5000 or above from that shop. Enjoy!
Noboribetsu Marine Park Nixe is a Japanese aquarium located in Noboribetsu, Hokkaido. It opens at 9 AM. There are plentiful parking spaces beside the aquarium. Actually, I did not expect to visit this place before our trip since I am not a child anymore. However, the aquarium changed my mind completely after I visited. While the park was not huge, the decoration and design inside were fabulous. Exploring along the underwater tunnel and admiring the fish and sharks swimming above us, I marveled at the beauty of the marine world. Gradually, I became excited to witness a rich variety of fish, crabs, sharks, jellyfish, and eels inside. The feeling of pure happiness brought me back to the moment when I first stepped into an aquarium.
Besides the aquarium, there were also some intriguing shows, including the dolphin, seal, and Penguin Parade shows. Not only did they blow me away, but they also left me with an unforgettable experience. In my opinion, the aquarium is suitable for everyone. I highly recommend paying a visit to this marvelous place! You will find your smiles here.
The penguin walk was incredibly fun to watch. It was such an extraordinary experience to be so close to the penguins waddling past. I visited this wonderful place with my wife and my parents, and we all thoroughly enjoyed making these special memories together.
A wonderful aquarium in Noboribetsu which is located a quick 5min walk away from JR Noboribetsu Station. It looked quite small from the outside but once inside there were lots of things for us to see and do!🤩
We managed to catch the penguin parade and dolphin show while we were there, and were we very impressed! The penguins were very cute throughout and the dolphins were incredibly agile.
The large castle with many different fishes and other sea creatures were very interesting and exciting to see.😁
Overall it was definitely worth the money we paid to enter and we would love to come back again to view more❤️❤️
Very accessible from Noboribetsu station. Small place but lots of fun shows! Make sure to take note of the schedules. While waiting, take a look inside the main building. The sardine run was unique and must see! Tip: buy tickets from Agoda activities, as it is cheaper there.
