If you’re a nature lover and an anthophile, you’ll definitely appreciate this place! 🌼✨ When we visited in mid-May, most of the flowers in bloom were vibrant marigolds. :)
Entrance fee is ¥1,500, and they provide a map of the whole area, so it’s easy to explore at your own pace.
Getting here is convenient too. From the ferry terminal, just hop on the bus and get off at Nokonoshima Island Park Station.
Aside from the flower park itself, there are also food stalls, a souvenir shop, a coffee shop, and even a beautiful traditional Japanese house.

WOW. Just wowowowowowow. First of all, I think it’s very cool how there’s a different flower in bloom for every season! I went in the summer and it was marigolds. Second, I love how there’s so much care put into the place - the trees are all so neat! It’s definitely a must visit when you’re in Fukuoka!!!!!!
I visited Nokonoshima Island Park in late June. You won’t find as many flowers as in spring, but we still enjoyed our time there. The entrance fee was ¥1,500 per person, which felt a little expensive considering there were fewer flowers.
There were also a few cute animals, such as rabbits and goats, which was really nice to see!
We also walked from the ferry terminal, which took about 45 minutes. We thought it would be a pleasant walk through the forest, but it was actually just along the road 😅
I recommend it to anyone who likes flowers or enjoys wandering around parks!
This park is located on Nokonoshima Island. To get there, you need to take a ferry across the island (which departs every hour and takes only 10 minutes), then take a bus to the park. Admission is ¥1,800 per adult. The park is beautifully decorated with seasonal flowers; in spring, cherry blossoms are in bloom. Inside, there are restaurants and souvenir shops, a soft-serve ice cream shop, and the park's main restaurant, which serves local specialties like steamed sticky rice with salmon and soda with oranges grown on the island. We highly recommend trying them. It's a wonderful visit.Don't forget to support the elderly lady who sells potatoes tempura at the front of entrance. It's so delicious!

This place would have been so much cooler in just a few weeks. It is very early and a lot of the fields were empty.
It takes a long while to get here by bus/ferry from Fukuoka
