As you make your way to the west toward coast you will come to an area called Hitoichi 香住区一日市 . On your way uphill there is a beautiful observation point of Okami Park. It is believed that this part used to be an island separated from this part of land. There is an impressive view of a massive breakwater stretching out off the shore right next to the park. This is a fantastic spot with a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan from a hilltop, a very pleasant place to relax while gazing at the coastline and the horizon. It's known as a famous spot for sunsets, and I was completely captivated by the magnificent scenery. Depending on the season, you can see cherry blossoms and evening primroses, and in winter, "sea foam," making it a place I'd want to visit again and again. There's also a renovated old house cafe called Okami within the park, but unfortunately, I didn't have time to visit this time. It's said to be a charming cafe in a renovated old house where you can enjoy the view of the Sea of Japan, so next time I'd definitely like to enjoy the scenery and, if the season is right, try their sudachi cider.
