Okinawa World is a popular cultural theme park located in the southern part of Okinawa. This expansive park offers visitors a deep dive into the rich history, culture, and natural wonders of Okinawa, making it an essential stop for anyone looking to experience the full flavor of the island.

At the heart of Okinawa World is the Gyokusendo Cave, one of the longest limestone caves in Japan. With over one kilometer of the cave open to the public, visitors can explore stunning stalactites and stalagmites that have formed over 300,000 years. The cave's cool temperature and ethereal lighting create a mystical atmosphere that feels like stepping into another world.

Above ground, Okinawa World showcases the vibrant culture of the Ryukyu Kingdom. The park features a traditional Ryukyu village, complete with restored houses and workshops where artisans demonstrate crafts like weaving, pottery, and glass-making. These hands-on activities provide an engaging way to learn about the traditional arts and crafts that are unique to Okinawa.

Additionally, Okinawa World hosts live performances of Eisa, a dynamic Okinawan drum dance, adding an energetic and festive vibe to the park. What other travelers are saying about Okinawa World

Visited on a Monday afternoon and it was not that crowded. Free parking. Bought tickets in advance online via Asoview and exchanged for physical tickets at the counter. Had a nice stroll around the park and learnt a lot (Okinawa culture, food, workshops). Had our first Blue Seal Soft serve, it was quite creamy and perfect for the sunny weather. There were many photo spots around the park. The walk in the cave was cool and interesting. Ended the trip with an interactive performance, actress were very cheerful (no photo & video taking).

Most people visit the cave玉泉洞. There are pictures inside there. It was great. Me and my family took photos there. Also, there was a 2026 new year drum for us to hit which I think represents good luck? idk but once you enter the cave, it feels like a sauna lol. So, I recommend to take off your jackets once you enter the cave. The last thing was something that I personally didn't like, after visiting the cave, my family and I wanted to head back to the carpark but there were like 5 shops on our way, my family was so interested and i had to wait grrrrrrr WHY CAN YOU JUST HAVE A STRAIGHT PATH WITHOUT ANY SHOPS RAHHHHHHH it's a pity that I didn't go to the snake area since i did not have enough time and wanted to enjoy the onsen of ASBO Stay Hotel which I also made a review of it.

Okinawa World is a theme park packed with the charm, culture, and history of “old Okinawa,” all in one place. The park is divided into four main areas. First is **Gyokusendo Cave**, a breathtaking limestone cave that takes about 30 minutes to explore underground. I visited in early December, and surprisingly, the cave felt more humid than outside and it is 21 Celsius year round . Next is the **Tropical Fruit Garden**, where you’ll see a variety of exotic fruits with shapes you may have never seen before. The **Ryukyu Kingdom Castle Town** offers a peaceful stroll through traditional streets, and you might even meet Sora, a Ryukyu dog designated as a natural monument. The fourth area is the **Habu Park**, where you can learn about snakes and see giant land tortoises. There are also many hands-on experiences available, such as renting traditional Ryukyu Kingdom costumes, making Ryukyu glass, creating shisa pottery, indigo dyeing, and weaving. The great park to experience Okinawan culture, history, and entertainment all in one visit. It was a nice pace fore relaxing and sitting in the very old kominkan.

Visited Okinawa World with my family and had a wonderful time. The highlight was Gyokusendo Cave, beautifully lit and easy to walk through. We also explored the traditional Okinawan village, watched the lively Eisa drum performances (my son loved them!), and visited the Habu Museum, which was both fun and educational. The Fruit Orchard was very interesting, and we all enjoyed the fresh fruit juices from the cafes. The whole place is well maintained and very family-friendly. Tip: You can comfortably explore everything in about 2–2.5 hours. Wear comfortable shoes and check the schedule for Eisa performances to catch the show.

Amazing cultural theme park about Okinawa. Entrance fee is only 200yen. There are many parts to the park. You start by visiting a natural cave. Then you see the tropical plants and fruits. There is a counter where you can buy different fresh juices and snacks. There are many workshops you can try for a small fee. You can make tea, weave, paint, blow glass, dyeing,… You can even retrieve your own pearl from a shell and they will make a ring or necklace with it! There also explain how they make habushu (snake alcohol). You also get to see some live animals there. Very informative and interesting park.
