The Pokémon Café in Tokyo is a themed restaurant located in Nihonbashi, where fans can enjoy food and drinks inspired by the world of Pokémon. Opened in 2018, it offers a unique dining experience where every dish is shaped and designed like Pokémon characters, such as Pikachu-shaped pancakes or Pokéball-themed meals. The café regularly updates its menu to match seasonal events or introduce new Pokémon-themed items.

One fun feature is the interactive Pikachu show, where Pikachu appears in a chef outfit to entertain diners. Reservations are required, as the café is extremely popular. The café also offers exclusive merchandise not found elsewhere, making it a great spot for both casual visitors and Pokémon enthusiasts. Situated near Pokémon Center Tokyo DX, it's easy to visit both in one trip.

Traveler reviews

Pokémon Café in Nihombashi is truly a dream come true for Pokémon lovers. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels playful, warm, and full of childhood nostalgia. Every corner is designed with love — from the décor and music to the smiling staff who make the whole experience feel special. The food is unbelievably cute. Pikachu omelette rice, Eevee desserts, and beautifully designed Pokémon drinks make the table look like art. The taste is good and enjoyable, though the real highlight is the presentation and creativity. Some dishes feel slightly overpriced for the portion, but the experience makes up for it. One of the best moments is when Pikachu appears and walks around the café — everyone smiles, takes photos, and feels like a kid again. It’s such a heartwarming experience and something you won’t forget. The exclusive café merchandise is adorable and tempting. Even if you don’t plan to buy much, it’s hard to leave empty-handed. Pokémon Café is more than just a meal — it’s a memory. While the food could be a little better for the price, the atmosphere, service, and overall experience are magical.

Pokémon Café Tokyo Visiting the Pokémon Café in Tokyo was a wonderful experience. The food was surprisingly delicious, both in taste and presentation, and the prices were quite reasonable for such a unique themed restaurant. The atmosphere was outstanding—fun, lively, and full of the charm you would expect from the world of Pokémon. It truly felt special to be there, especially for true Pokémon fans. The most challenging part of the entire visit was getting a reservation. My wife had to secure the tickets down to the exact minute, and even then it was extremely difficult because the slots sell out so quickly. But once we made it inside, it was absolutely worth the effort. Overall, the Pokémon Café offers great food, fair prices, and an unforgettable atmosphere. A beautiful experience for real Pokémon fans — highly recommended for anyone visiting Tokyo!
Amazing experience. We attempted to wait towards the end of the day, incase of people canceling. It was totally worth it. Many of the group who also waited got in. Booking a day was hard since it filled very fast, so we risked it. Food was amazing, so was the service. Costumes and design of things were nice. Very clean establishment. We were able to get a free Pokemon Cafe glass with any drink purchase. I didnt know until after, I thought it was limited to one per table. After the meal we purchased a lot of things. My reviews are late because of life, still want to leave a review on places I've been.
It was really fun here, especially as a fan. The cafe is right next to the Pokémon Center and we still had some time to shop there before we went in. The food was okay, it definitely was more focused on the appearance and not taste. The prices were definitely on the more expensive side. Although it was worth an experience, I wouldn't go again, considering the price. Btw getting a reservation is pretty hard here and you should try to get one as early as possible, if you are lucky you can get one a day before, but don't rely on that.
Loved the experience and the hospitality. Loved the Pokemon theme and there was actually a Pikachu show. Food was really good too and the pokemon theme dishes was excellent. A must go place for tourists and for pokemon fans alike. The staff was really nice too and the place was spotless clean.
