Most cruise ships that go to Shimizu port dock just a stones throw from the Plaza. There are plenty of shops spread over several levels in two buildings, connected by a walkway with a children’s park and entry to the Ferris wheel. On the day we arrived, there was a big festival at the park near the cruise terminal and by bus was excellent. However, there is more to see in Shimizu other than just this shopping precinct and amusement park. Get out and explore!!

The S-Pulse Dream Plaza is a pretty good-sized shopping center next to the cruise terminal. I can walk from the cruise ship to S-Pulse Dream Plaza in five minutes. The shopping center has excellent views of Mt. Fuji and the cruise port. There are coffee shops, ice cream shops, and restaurants there as well. The good thing about shopping and eating there is that I don't have to worry about losing track of time. I can get back to the cruise ship in the last minute. Lol!

A hidden gem in Shimuzu where you’ll find endless eateries and retail shops. There are two floors of places to eat. You’ll find tax free shopping at Uniqlo and Gu. There’s an amusement park with a Ferris wheel and rides for kids. I had a delicious buffet lunch at Hatoba Kitchen at a reasonable price that included drinks and desserts. Make sure you visit the top floor for a beautiful view of Mt Fuji on a clear day.

Plenty of stores to look at and some lovely crafts. Food down the bottom and games up top.Right next to the dock and very easy stroll to it.

Serenity by the sea! Spent a lovely afternoon strolling along Japan's beautiful port. Friendly locals, delicious fresh seafood, and breathtaking views. Felt grateful to experience the warmth of Japanese hospitality. A must-visit spot for any traveler!
