This place resembles a paradise, especially during spring and cherry blossom seasons, with deer adding to the serene ambiance. Unfortunately, around 90% of the area seems to be closed, long holidays in Japan starts Dec 28 - Jan 3.
Visitors to Sagiike Pond can expect to see a variety of bird species, particularly herons and ducks. The pond is also home to koi fish and other aquatic life, making it a vibrant ecosystem.
Sagiike Pond is beautiful throughout the year, but it is especially picturesque during the cherry blossom season in spring and the autumn leaf season when the surrounding trees turn vibrant colors.
Sagiike Pond is within walking distance from major train stations in Nara, such as Kintetsu Nara Station and JR Nara Station. Visitors can also take a bus or taxi to Nara Park and then walk to the pond.
