The pier serves as the primary terminal for the Sea Bass ferry service, which connects Yokohama Station's east exit, Minato Mirai 21, the Red Brick Warehouse, and Yamashita Park. Water taxis also operate from this terminal, linking various popular areas throughout Yokohama. The location provides visitors with convenient access to major tourist attractions while offering a distinctive perspective of the city from the water. The Sea Bass vessels are named after the Japanese sea bass, a fish native to the local rivers and estuaries.
