In Osaka, Settsukyū Park is a forest haven along the Akutagawa River. Hike scenic trails to dramatic cliffs, Shirataki Waterfall, and panoramic views. Ideal for nature lovers seeking a serene escape near the city.
Great easy hike, has 4 courses to choose from, shortest one (the river side) can take less than 30 mins if continuous walking
It's a nice and calm place where to watch autumn leaves and it's not too crowded unlike any other autumn leaves spot between Kyoto and Osaka where I have been so far. People are incredibly friendly and chatty in this area and there are also many food options near the station that makes a day out in the area easy to plan and to enjoy. I want to go back there for the Hanami next year.
Beautiful trail! I truly recommend!
You can access here by car or bus from Takatsuki station. Walking along the river and through forests was so much fun and I felt relaxed off city life.
