This was my 4th visit π
I took the bus from Hineno station fee 460Β₯ , and it takes about 20 mins (the bus comes every hour) .We got off at the last stop and walked about 30 mins. During the rainy season, the forest was soooooo green, there were 2-3 waterfalls with crystal clear water π Dont forget to check for the last bus from Inunakisan @1850 pm.
Awesome place . I went here with my sister and that too in rainy day it was little dangerous because we were in fear of slippery road . The road towards the mountains is little congested and while coming back we faced some difficulty when one more car came in front of us . So new drivers be careful . But worth going we loved it . O my god the smell of real nature you really can feel the smell of trees π²mountains and air .so I came again here with my family and this time we came here in sunny π day it was awesome feeling must visit place . Toilet is available. Mask is compulsory. Parking lot is free.
Such an experience, great trip, 30min bus trip to get to such an amazingly peaceful place, very few people there but very friendly. Felt like we came back from another dimension when we went down the 20-30 min hike
A temple located deep in Mt. Inunaki (Inunakisan). It is surprisingly surrounded by beautiful natural wonders like waterfalls and streams. You cam get there by car or by walking from the foot of the mountain. It is something that you should visit when you are in Osaka Prefecture. Don't forget to have a goshuin when visiting this temple.
The trail from the Main Gate to the Main Hall takes 40 minutes on steep terrain with rocks, roots, and potentially slippery conditions. Proper hiking shoes are necessary. The route requires reasonable fitness levels and can be challenging for those with limited mobility.
One-day Shugendo training sessions are held on the third Sunday of each month and require advance reservations, including waterfall purification at Gyoja Falls. Shakyo (sutra copying) and Shabutsu (Buddha drawing) are available at the Heart Sutra Hall without reservations.
Autumn offers the best scenery with vibrant maple foliage throughout the mountain. Summer provides cooler temperatures. Check weather forecasts before visiting as mountain conditions vary.
Take Nankai Wing Bus Nanbu Line 21 or 23 from Nankai Izumisano Station or JR Hineno Station. The bus costs 470 yen and takes 40 minutes to Inunakiyama terminal. The Main Gate is a 3-minute walk from the bus stop. Bring necessary supplies as facilities are limited in the area.
