This place ain't just the cream puff factory, there also a cafe upstairs as well that serves menu items inspired from the Ghibli films as well. The atmosphere and ambience has that Ghibli feel as well. The puffs are great and can be had at the cafe or brought home.
The customer service is excellent and there was no wait but we arrived early but as we left a line begun to form. You can get here via a train ride and a small walk.
As well as being extreme cute the pastries are absolutely delicious! We had the seasonal chestnut flavour, which was supper light and well balanced. And all the flavours have a different hat! I would also recommend some of their cookies and biscuits - they have a longer shelf life so you can take them home and enjoy how they melt in your mouth while you are remembering your time in Tokyo. Definitely worth the trip.
The Shiro-Hige's Cream Puff Factory is located in a residential area not far from the train station.
With the wooded surroundings it kinda looks like an enchanted house and creates a really great atmosphere.
We came at noon time and found a counter still full of beautiful Totoro Cream Puffs and were served by a friendly elderly lady.
We chose the Strawberry and Matcha puffs and enjoyed them just outside where there is a table you can stand at.
We liked the puffs so much that we decided to get one more and also get a taste of the third available flavor, which was chocolate.
All flavors were amazing und we totally recommend to come here for a little cute treat!
Such a cute cafe in a quiet corner. Entrance and shop with Ghilbi decoration. We had a hojicha latte and matcha, both tasty. We also ate the chocolate creamy puff Totoro and ... Very big surprise ! Not only this pastry was cute but also very tasty ! The chocolate mousse inside is excellent ! They have different flavors depending on the flavor. The staff was friendly and efficient. We felt really good here. We took away some more totoros. Thank you !
Great chill vibes and the best baked good one could ask for! Ended up ordering way too much food but it all tasted delicious and somehow light and easy to eat! The cream puffs are very cute with Totoro designs but the Mackey baked goods are a MUST try! I loved the Onion Focaccia the most.
