What other travelers are saying about Tokyo Disneyland
My family and I had a wonderful time at Tokyo Disneyland! I am so thankful for the disability access pass they have as my son is autistic, this made things much easier for him! All the staff here are so wonderful! Bought so many souvenirs, many were so affordable compared to US Disneyland! Surprisingly it wasn't as busy as I anticipated! We got there around 11:30 am, and got in within 10 mins! Loved the Beauty and the Beast ride!!
Absolutely magical.
Not a huge Disney stan and had an absolute blast.
Queues for rides are no joke, sometimes getting over 2 hours long.
But somehow after the ride the queue is so worth it.
Got there nearly an hour early and it was packed.
Stayed from the start till close with loads of different food options to keep is going.
The light show at the very end of the night is worth staying for.
This is our 5th Disneyland Park on our mission to do all 6. It felt very familiar with some additional features to make it unique from other parks. Not necessarily better just different. A couple of things that surprised us however was how poor the Wi-Fi offering is at the Park. Literally only at the park entrance and that’s it and so if we did not invest in a pocket WiFi like we did we would have had a less pleasant experience because your day here will be significantly better if you can fully utilise the features on their App. Make sure you make use of any 40th anniversary free fast passes this year which become available once you have entered the park. Another thing that was different and a positive is that it’s mandatory in certain areas to sit on the floor to watch the parade and shows which makes for a better viewing experience. Bring a floor pad or cushion! That last thing that was a positive surprise is how reasonably priced the food and drink was. This is a common feature for Japan but to also see it in the parks was fantastic.
The park itself was great with the classic Disney rides and experiences with many however still looking fresh. There are also some with a twist like it’s a small world with Marvel characters and some exclusive rides like beauty and the beast which is set within a scaled castle.
It was very open spaced which help manage the crowds better but you will certainly feel the crowds when you are in the shops or find yourself in an hour queue just for popcorn. On the shopping experience the price for goods are also very reasonable - about £9 for the ears for example. These are about £20 in Europe and the US. A tip though- if you see something you like, buy it. Items sell out fast here.
All the staff are amazing and really welcome you in keeping with the cast member values. The parade isn’t as grand as Disney world in the US but what is?! The nighttime show too was good and it was amazing to be able to sit in front of the castle to watch.
This park is smaller than CA and FL. Considering how much we have to pay in CA, I think Disneyland Tokyo is worth every penny. Paid $53 for a weekday. Arrived around 2p & there was no queue to enter. Most rides were 10-15 min wait. You are required to have a “stand-by” ticket to enter certain shops. I was a little disappointed with the merchandise—thought there’d be more gear that had ‘Tokyo Disneyland’ on it but didn’t find much. Most items were the same as in the US. Similar rides and food items. Food prices seemed much cheaper than US parks as well. Overall enjoyed our time at the ‘happiest place on Earth.’
Nice to be back—this time at Tokyo Disneyland!
Tickets: Use Klook to purchase them in advance and add them to the Disneyland app.
Timing: Arrive at least 30 minutes before opening time to enjoy more attractions and rides.
Must-See: Don’t miss Beauty and the Beast—a breathtaking experience!
Food: Expect higher prices, but you can refill water at some restaurants.
We’ll definitely be back to this amazing place!
