Vampire Cafe in Tokyo is a themed restaurant located in the Ginza district. It opened in 2001 and brings visitors into a gothic vampire lair filled with crimson and black décor, chandeliers, and candlelight.

The atmosphere is designed to feel eerie yet elegant, transporting diners into a vampire's world with dim lighting and blood-red walls. Waitstaff dressed as vampires serve dishes with names and presentations that fit the spooky theme, such as "bloody" cocktails and meals styled to look like coffins.

The menu offers a mix of French and Italian cuisine, with some Japanese twists. Dishes are intricately presented, fitting the theatrical theme of the restaurant. While the food is one part of the experience, it’s really the ambiance that draws people in. The Vampire Cafe is a popular spot for those seeking something unusual for dinner in Tokyo.

What other travelers are saying about Vampire Cafe

Very unique restaurant. I suggest you to make a reservation before coming. Foods and cocktails were delicious and they looked awesome. The staff was also friendly and they played their role very well. The waitress can speak english and the menu is also available for foreigners. Great experience, if you into this gothic vampire style. I definitely recommend this place.

Went with a group of friends it was super fun we had the afternoon tea. Definitely recommend making a reservation. But we were able to be seated 30 minutes early which was nice because we had done so much walking that day. It was very nice to sit and take our time eating and enjoy the night feast.

I celebrated my birthday in Japan and thought I’ll accomodate myself somewhere special. I was not disappointed! I ordered a 7 course dinner set, which was really good and the portion sizes were just right. The set looked amazing and the Vampire maids had really nice makeup and costumes too! Dracula, the only male member was roaming around too, which was really cool! Ashley, (I persume the lead waitress) I could tell is really enjoying her work, since she treated every customer with care and had an attitude fitting the setting of the place. She can also speak English perfectly well!
