What other travelers are saying about Yakushiike Park
I love this park so much. It is beautiful and not crowded. I think not many tourists come to this place. At the time I visited this park, there was Ume Matsuri (Plum Festival). So I managed to buy some snacks like Yakitori and Takoyaki. There is a spot where the plum tree are blooming beautifully. If you still have a lot of time, you can also visit the squirell garden just next to this park.
The only cons is this park is not reachable by train, and the bus fare is a bit more expensive than usual.
This park is absolutely stunning, and it’s been beautifully maintained. There’s even a cozy cafe where we can grab some delicious takeaway food and have a lovely picnic. Just a heads up, there are a few areas of the lawn that aren’t allowed for dogs, but most of the park is dog-friendly, so we can still enjoy the outdoors together.
Beautiful park located conveniently close to Machida. Its a nice place to visit to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Spring time is probably best, though in Autumn you can catch the deep Autumn colours too.
A great park with plenty of flowers and trees, and a relaxing atmosphere. You will need to take a bus from the station to get here, but it is worth a visit. It also has a nice cafe
Went after the cherry blossom season (9th Apr), it was still beautiful enough with new young greens. This place is not well known but should be well known as a hidden gem spot to see the beautiful Japanese nature, flowers, shrines and old architecture in one park FOR FREE!
