Very beautiful and relaxing ancient wood carving village
A very interesting place for tourists to visit.
It's an old townscape. There's no clear distinction between the road and the sidewalk, and cars do pass by, but the traffic is light, so it was safe to walk around. I got a map at the information center in the parking lot at the entrance to the "Wooden Cat Search," but it didn't indicate where each cat was located, so I had to find them myself.
I went there on Saturday afternoon ππ¨
After visiting Zuizenji Temple, I strolled around here πΆ
Perhaps due to the heat and the time of day, there weren't many people... or rather, almost no people at all, so I was able to look around at my leisure π
Sculptures are everywhere, a feast for the eyes π
I had fun searching for cat sculptures among them ππ
I wonder if they're big cat lovers? π±π±π±
Besides the sculpture shops, there are cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops, and even a liquor store, so it might be a good idea to visit this place in conjunction with a visit to Zuizenji Temple.
