Traveler reviews
Yoshikien Garden is exquisitely crafted, seamlessly integrating three distinct styles of traditional Japanese landscaping: the pond garden, the moss garden, and the tea ceremony garden. These three elements serve as the central focal points, harmoniously converging to create a serene and peaceful ambiance.
I visited there for the first time many years ago. Since then, every time I visit Nara, I often arrange my time to visit there again.
Admission to the garden is complimentary. 👍💕
Free to enter for all tourists, no passport checks. Extremely beautiful traditional garden that is as beautiful as the 1200 yen paid garden (Isuien Garden) next door. Serving as a great alternative budget option to explore a Japanese garden.
The garden took us about 40 mins to stroll through with lots of photo stops. It's honestly a must visit during the autumn.
During our wanderings thru Nara Park, the Missus and I with our family out-laws found the Yoshikien Garden. Admission was free. The garden was very peaceful and located in a beautiful setting filled with Japanese greenery, walking pathways and a teahouse. A very zen-like atmosphere and it was a good break from urban activities.
Beautiful, Nice and Zen. Admission was free. There was a doorway to the Buddha Temple but we weren’t sure where it was leading us to so we just walked out the way we came in from and walked to the Buddha temple which was about a 3 - 5 min walk.
The Yoshikien Garden is very calming and Beautiful and hearing all the birds was amazing.
Very beautiful and a must visit. It's free to enter and a really nice scenery. Who wouldn't like to visit a free Japanese moss garden
