You begin by decorating your own cup, then move through stations where noodles are placed, followed by adding ingredients and soup bases, before sealing and packaging the final product. The finished cup even comes with a protective pouch and strap, allowing you to carry it like a purse or backpack, which is a fun and thoughtful detail. We just love it! We spent about 3.5 hours at the museum, and it was a great way to learn, create, and appreciate something simple yet deeply connected to everyday life.

I arrived on a weekday with prior reservation. Unfortunately I was 30 minutes late, but luckily the staff was really nice about it and they changed my ticket to the next available slot. So I still got to experience the personalized cup noodle making. The wait was not too long. I received my cup and was shown to a table where I could personalize my cup. After that I waited at the line for adding the ingredients and packaging. This also moves quite fast and the whole process is interactive. You get to choose a soup base and 4 toppings. After that your cup gets sealed and you get to keep it in an inflatable bag! The museum itself was very informative and they had an audio guide online available. You can scan the QR code placed around to open the browser version of the audio guide. I found this very helpful since almost all the information on the walls were written only in Japanese. I highly recommend using the audio guide to fully understand the history and invention of the cup noodles. At the 4th floor there is a noodle bazaar which has noodle dishes from different countries such as Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan, China etc. Each dish is around 500 Yen, very reasonably priced and tasty. The portions are not too big so if you want to taste multiple dishes you can for sure go for it. I also tried the soft serve vanilla ice cream which was served in a cup noodle cup! I assumed that the toppings were sweets shaped in cup noodle toppings but they were actually salty cup noodle toppings!! I still ate the whole cup since it was a very interesting flavor profile. The museum shop is cute and offers variety of souvenirs including different cup noodles, keychains and many more. Overall perfect experience. I spent roughly 2.5 hours here. I recommend reserving online and coming on a weekday.

If you love noodles, this is the place to visit. It was nice to visit while we were in Yokohama after viewing the Gundam Factory. You get to design and make your own cup noodles. With their signature balloon bag to hold it. You can buy your tickets upon arrival. Alot cheap to do it in person instead of online. Quite an educational experience.

We visited the Yokohama location on a Tuesday. The Highlight: Making our own custom cup was a blast—I chose the Chili Tomato base with the limited-edition toppings. Important Tip: You need a timed entry ticket for the 'My CUPNOODLES Factory.' We got ours at the front desk right when we arrived, but they sell out by midday on weekends. If you want to do the 'Chicken Ramen Factory' (making the actual noodles), book that on their website weeks before your trip! The museum itself is beautiful and very 'Instagrammable.' Don't miss the Noodles Bazaar on the top floor—you can try small portions of noodles from around the world for 500 yen. Total time spent: about 2–3 hours

A tourist trap. The experiences require a scheduled time. My group of eight people chose the Cup Noodles Factory experience, which costs ¥500 per person. When you go up to the factory floor, you must pay another ¥500 for the cup. You sit at shared tables to draw on the cup and then fill it with instant noodle ingredients. My sister had made a drawing and wanted to keep the cup as a souvenir from the trip, so she didn’t fill it with the ingredients that would eventually spoil. When we went down to the exit, one of the employees noticed the empty cup and stopped her from leaving. Suddenly four employees and a supervisor appeared, talking on the radio and blocking her exit because the cup was empty. It felt like watching a drug trafficker being escorted at an airport. In the end, we had to return the cup that had already been decorated, with no refund. I do not recommend this attraction. Save your money.
