Tsuboya Yachimun Street had such a calm and cozy vibe compared to the busy city areas 🥹
The street is small and quiet with old Okinawan-style buildings, pottery shops, tiny cafés, and lots of handmade ceramics everywhere. It honestly feels like walking inside a slow peaceful movie scene.
Even if you’re not planning to buy pottery, it’s still really nice to walk around, look at all the cute handmade cups and plates, and just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. A perfect little hidden spot near Kokusai-dori when you want a quieter side of Okinawa.
It’s remarkably peaceful. You’ll find a beautiful blend of traditional Yachimun (pottery) workshops and modern, minimalist boutiques. Whether you’re looking for rugged Arayachi (unglazed) pieces or more contemporary, colorful Joyachi (glazed) ceramics, the craftsmanship here is top-tier.
