Workshop Agenda

Arrival and Introduction

Upon your arrival, we will start with a warm welcome and a brief introduction to the day's activities. Here, you will learn about the history and significance of wagashi and the Japanese tea ceremony.

Duration: 15 minutes

Wagashi Making Session

Dive into the art of making wagashi, traditional Japanese confections. Our expert guide will demonstrate techniques before you try your hand at creating these edible masterpieces. This is a hands-on experience, where you get to shape and color your own sweets.

Duration: 45 minutes

Tea Ceremony

After making your wagashi, you will participate in a traditional tea ceremony. This serene ritual allows you to prepare and enjoy matcha (green tea) in a ceremonial setting, using the sweets you crafted to complement the tea.

Duration: 30 minutes

Discussion and Farewell

To conclude, there will be a session to discuss what you have learned and experienced. Feel free to ask questions and share your thoughts about the ceremony and wagashi making. This is also the perfect time to take photos and savor the last moments of your cultural journey.
