I have never skied before. Can I still join?

Yes. Your guide teaches you how to ski and snowboard, so beginners can learn the basics on the slopes at Mont Deus before heading off on their own.

Do I need my own equipment?

No. Ski sets (skis, boots, and poles), snowboard sets (board and boots), and ski wear can be rented at the park for an additional fee.

What do I still need if I rent ski wear?

Rental ski wear does not include socks, goggles, underwear, a hat, earmuffs, or gloves, so bring your own.

Where exactly is the snow park?

Mont Deus Hida-kuraiyama Snow Park is in the Ichinomiyamachi area of Takayama, and the tour meets there. A direct bus from Takayama Station gets you to the park.

Spend a winter day in the powder snow of Mont Deus Hida-kuraiyama Snow Park near Takayama. Ski, snowboard, snowshoe, or ride a snow tube, with an English-speaking guide who teaches beginners the basics of skiing and snowboarding.

The tour runs in January and February only.
Choose from skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and snow tubing at the park.
Skiing and snowboarding need no advance reservation.
Snowshoeing and snow tubing use a snowmobile, so reserve them in advance.
Snowshoeing lasts 2 hours per group, and snow tubing runs in 30-minute sessions.
A direct bus runs from Takayama Station to Mont Deus Snow Park.
Hotel pickup by the operator's car is available on request.
Lift tickets come as one-day or half-day passes, with child rates under 12.
Bring your passport, as it is required on the tour day.
This tour is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
