Kamikochi Day Trip (Small Group)

• The walk is easy to moderate, and the route can be adjusted for your group.

• Wear sport or hiking shoes, or snow shoes in winter; slippers are not allowed.

• Bring extra layers, as Kamikochi can be 5 degrees Celsius colder than Takayama.

• Pack rainwear and water for the day.

• Kamikochi's regular season runs from about mid-April to mid-November.

• Buses do not run inside Kamikochi in the closed season, so winter access differs.

• Winter trips can mean snow, ice, cold, and limited facilities, with a different route.

• Hotel pickup is possible if you share your hotel name and address beforehand.
