Half-Day Hiroshima Highlights Tour

Meet your guide under the Tourist Information sign outside the Shinkansen gates at Hiroshima Station. Your guide will be holding a Snow Monkey Resorts tour sign. Arriving early is recommended as the station is currently under construction.

Walk from the station to Shukkei-en Garden, an Edo-period garden originally designed as a miniaturized landscape of natural scenery. The guided walk covers the main pond, tea houses, bridges, and hills, with stops at notable viewpoints. Your guide will explain the garden's design principles, its 400-year history, and its use as an evacuation site during the Second World War.

Walk to the Hiroshima Castle ruins for a guided tour of the castle grounds. Stops include the Castle Tower exterior, the Ninomaru enclosure, and Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine. Your guide will cover the castle's role in the development of Hiroshima as a castle town and its significance within the broader history of the Chugoku region. 

Walk to the Atomic Bomb Dome, the only structure left standing near the hypocenter of the 1945 atomic bombing. Your guide will provide historical context on the events of the Second World War, leading up to the bombing, and the significance of preserving the ruins.

Enter the Peace Memorial Museum for a self-guided experience through exhibits covering the events of August 6, 1945, and the years that followed. Exhibits include personal belongings left by victims of the bombing.

Guests returning to Hiroshima Station travel by public bus with the guide. Onward travel from Hiroshima should not be booked before 13:40 for the morning session or 19:10 for the afternoon session, due to possible traffic delays on the bus return.
