What is Owari Cloisonné?

It is a traditional Nagoya craft that creates delicate, shimmering designs by firing enamel within fine silver wires. It was perfected in the late Edo period.

You shape silver wires, apply enamel, and create a pattern with traditional Japanese motifs such as cherry blossoms, choosing your own colors.

How is the session structured?

A master craftsman gives a 30-minute introduction to the history and features of the craft, followed by a 120-minute hands-on workshop and a 30-minute studio tour.

Why can't I take my piece home the same day?

Cloisonné must be fired and finished, so the artisans complete your piece after the workshop and deliver it to you.

This is a private workshop for your group only.
Each booking can include up to 6 guests; contact us in advance for larger groups.
