What is the difference between the two plans?

Both plans include your guide and transport. The With Tickets plan adds admission to the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), the interior of Nijo Castle, and Kiyomizu-dera. On the Without Tickets plan, admission to these three sites is not included, though you can still explore the streets and shops around Kiyomizu-dera.

What happens if Nijo Castle is closed on my tour date?

Occasionally, Nijo Castle cannot be visited due to circumstances beyond the operator's control. When that happens, the tour visits Sanjusangen-do Temple instead.

No. Food and drinks are not included, so plan to buy snacks or a meal along the way. The streets around Kiyomizu-dera are lined with shops selling traditional treats.

Where does the tour end?

The tour ends at Fushimi Inari Taisha at around 17:45, not back at the meeting point. From there, you make your own way back to your hotel.

Can children join the tour?

Yes. Child tickets cover ages 3 to 11, and infants aged 0 to 2 can join free of charge.

Bring a valid form of identification and your booking confirmation.
Your guide waits outside Hotel Keihan Kyoto Grande holding an Amigo Tours sign.
Arrive at least 10 minutes before the 07:30 departure to check in.
Each booking can include up to 15 participants.
Distances between the sites are long, so expect some time on the bus.
The itinerary may change due to weather conditions or road closures.
Bring an umbrella and comfortable clothing suited to the season.
In summer, bring sunglasses and sunscreen for the outdoor stops.
