Explore Fushimi Inari beyond the main paths on a guided hike through quiet mountain trails. Visit hidden shrines, bamboo groves, and scenic viewpoints while enjoying a peaceful atmosphere.
Our meeting point for the tour is right outside of Tofukuji Station, Exit 2. You'll easily spot us next to the Family Mart Nakai Tofukuji Store. Look for our guide holding a sign, and we'll be ready to start our adventure from there!

From the station, the hike starts on a lesser-known mountain trail. This peaceful path leads through natural surroundings and allows you to enjoy the landscape at a relaxed pace while gradually ascending.
3
Along the trail, you will encounter small local shrines and a quiet bamboo forest rarely visited by large crowds. Your guide shares background stories while you take time to appreciate the calm atmosphere.

The hike continues toward the middle section of Fushimi Inari Shrine, where you will see a different perspective of the iconic site without starting from the busy entrance.
The final climb leads to a viewpoint overlooking the city of Kyoto. This elevated spot offers a rewarding view and a chance to rest before concluding the hike.

Our guide, Ken, was very personable and so informative. He did a great job! I would take another tour w/him!
I am not being shown a 5-star option, which is what this tour deserves! It was active, interesting, and just a great time all around. Our favorite so far!

Best experience of our trip & skipped the crowds!
This was a great hike & Tsukito was a friendly and knowledgable guide. The best part of this trip was seeing the hidden shrine & bamboo forest at the beginning. It was very peaceful and felt like a hidden hike. The best feeling was the end of the trip, when we ran into all the crowds and realized we skipped all of that and got to experience Fushimi Inari mostly to ourselves. I highly recommend this tour and so glad we added it last minute to our itinerary.
