What is Ise Katagami?

Ise Katagami is durable washi paper carved into stencils for dyeing kimono. You use an authentic stencil made by craftsperson Chiaki Imasaka to dye two postcards.

Mizuhiki are decorative cords made by winding colored silk thread around a core, used to tie ceremonial gifts. You learn the Awaji and Ume knots, and the bookmark option adds a rabbit design.

Do I need sewing skills for the clasp purse?

No. The purse and coin case are assembled without any sewing, so you only need a bit of creativity.
