What will I see from Mount Tarumae?

From the summit and the caldera rim you look north over Lake Shikotsu and southeast toward the coastline. Walking around the caldera gives you a changing view of the volcano and the surrounding area.

How is the hike structured?

You hike from the trailhead up to the summit, then walk around the caldera and take a break with a view. Afterward you descend to the car park and return to adex base.

How do I get to the trailhead?

You meet at adex base in Noboribetsu Onsen and drive to the Mount Tarumae trailhead. After the hike, adex link, the operator's shuttle, brings you back to adex base.
