A full-day tour from Sapporo led by a local English-speaking guide, visiting the Ainu Cultural Center and the hot spring village of Jozankei. The tour includes a guided village walk, a public foot bath stop, and a 2-hour hot spring bath at Hotel Shika no Yu.

All entry/admission tickets to each attraction/sightseeing spot
Guests with tattoos may join the tour and visit all other destinations, but will not be able to enter the Shika no Yu onsen. Please contact the tour operator before booking if you have questions about this policy.
Lunch is not included. Time for lunch is provided on arrival in Jozankei. Miso ramen is a local specialty, and your guide will suggest options on request.
Clothing appropriate for the season is recommended throughout the day. In winter, waterproof footwear with good grip is advised as ice and snow may be present on walking surfaces.
If any part of the itinerary cannot proceed as scheduled, the tour operator will arrange a suitable alternative and inform guests as early as possible.
Highly recommend this small group tour. If there’s interest in Ainu culture and history, book this trip. Scott was very informative, insightful and it’s a better way to fully experience the centre rather than just walking through it.

Fun and Relaxing
A great tour, with an engaging tour guide in Scott. Fees were all included in the ticket and you get a good showing around the Ainu museum and the Hot Springs, coupled with the onsen trip, lasting about 10 hours from start to finish. Highly recommended, although wear shoes with grip if going on the gorge hike during off season!

Best way to end a trip in Sapporo
Highly recommend this small group tour. If there’s interest in Ainu culture and history, book this trip. Scott was very informative, insightful and it’s a better way to fully experience the centre rather than just walking through it.
