Tokyo Castle and Imperial Palace Shogun Walking Tour

A security check is required to enter the Imperial Palace; knives and alcohol are not allowed.

The Emperor’s residence itself is not open to the public.

The route includes steep slopes and stairs.

Much of the tour takes place outdoors, so dress for the weather.

Wheelchairs can be used within the palace grounds, though some slopes require walking.

Strollers and prams can be used on the route.

Your guide will hold a sign reading “Local Guide Stars.”

Infants cannot sit on laps, so every child needs their own spot.

Pets cannot join the tour.

Infant seats are not available.

The tour is conducted in English only.
