What if I have no idea what to see?

That is fine. The questionnaire asks about your interests, what you have already seen, and how you like to explore, and your host turns that into suggestions you can change together on the day.

Could the route include Akihabara?

Yes. One sample route pairs Akihabara's retro gaming and anime shops with the calm of Kanda Myojin Shrine, a place of worship for locals and tech fans alike, before ending at the lively Ameyoko market.

Can we go up Tokyo Skytree?

If you like. One suggested route offers Skytree's panorama as an alternative to a stroll down Kappabashi Street. Skytree tickets cost extra and are not part of the booking.

Where might we eat along the way?

Yanaka Ginza is a natural place for a leisurely lunch, with snacks such as freshly made taiyaki, and a standing bar in Ameyoko makes a good end to the day. Food and drinks are paid as you go.

Chiara for Tokyo and Shimizu

Chiara was our guide for both Tokyo and Shimizu. She has excellent English skills and is very easy to talk to. She was very thorough in her planning to ensure our needs were met. My wife has mobility issues she ensured that the walking was minimised. This was greatly appreciated. Her research on the places we visited was impressive. She is also a foodie which was great as she got me to try different foods. Thanks Chiara

YoShimi was exceptional guide

YoShimi did an exceptional job taking us to very specific places we’d requested and suggesting additional places for us to visit. We had a wonderful day and could never have seen as much in one day without a guide.
