Higashiyama Walking Course
【・Access】
・Route1
1. JR Takayama Station
2. （final）Walk approx. 20-25 mins east toward the Higashiyama Teramachi (Temple District) trailhead.
・Route2
1. Take the city loop bus.
2. Get off at the "Higashiyama" or "Shiroyama-koen-mae" stop.
3. （final）A short walk leads directly into the historic temple trail.

（Free to walk anytime. Best visited during daylight hours. Individual temples along the path have their own gate hours.)
【・Outfit】
・Footwear:
Comfortable walking shoes or hiking sneakers. The trail includes unpaved wooded paths, slopes, and stone steps.
・Clothing:
Casual, easy-to-move clothes. Layered clothing recommended as temperature drops in the wooded areas. Insect repellent needed in summer.
【・Infrastructure】
・Parking:
No dedicated course parking. Use public toll parking lots near the city center or Miyagawa riverbank.
・Restrooms:
Public restrooms available at Shiroyama Park (near the end of the trail) and select temple grounds.
・Accessibility:
Not wheelchair or stroller accessible. The trail features natural dirt paths, steep slopes, stone staircases, and uneven terrain.
【・Area Info】
・Eat:
No dining directly on the nature trail. Plenty of cafes and traditional restaurants located just downhill in the Sanmachi and Enako River areas.
・Stay:
Several traditional shukubo (temple lodgings) directly along the route, with massive hotel and ryokan options back toward Takayama Station.

東山遊歩道（高山市・飛騨）

1. JR高山駅より
2. 東山寺町方面へ、徒歩（約20〜25分）で直接現地（遊歩道入り口）へ
・ルート2
1. 市内循環バスを利用（左回り）
2. 「東山」または「城山公園前」バス停下車
3. 徒歩ですぐに寺院群の散策路へ

・開放時間：
散策自由（常時開放）
（※安全のため日中の見学を推奨。沿道の各寺院の境内は門限あり）
【・Outfit】
・靴:
歩きやすい靴、スニーカー推奨。未舗装の山道、傾斜、石段があるため。
・服装:
動きやすい服。木陰や山間部は冷え込むことがあるため調整しやすい服装。夏季は虫忌避対策を推奨。
【・Infrastructure】
・駐車場:
遊歩道専用の駐車場なし。中心市街地や宮川沿いの公営・民間コインパーキングを利用。
・トイレ:
遊歩道終点近くの城山公園内や、沿道の一部の寺院に公衆トイレあり。
・バリアフリー:
対応不可。自然歩道のため、未舗装路、急な坂道、石段、段差が多数あり、車椅子やベビーカーでの通行は困難。

・食事:
遊歩道沿いに飲食店はなし。坂を下りた江名子川周辺や三町筋周辺まで戻れば、カフェや食事処が多数あり。
・宿泊:
遊歩道沿いの寺町に宿坊があるほか、高山駅周辺や中心市街地に旅館・ホテルが多数点在。
