What other travelers are saying about Bise Fukugi Tree Road

Nice beach walk. Yes, it is supposed to be a tree road walk but 40% of the trail is along the coast. Prepare to spend 2 hours there if you want to leasurly walk. Longer if you plan lunch, or dinner, at the very small and nice dining establishment there. Can also plan for tea break at the cafe over there.

Walked to the tree lined road from the aquarium, stopping by the emerald beach on the way. Spent about 30-45 mins strolling and taking some photos. The trees were surrounding private houses there, so it is best not to disturb the residents there. There is a shuttle bus that brings you back from Bise trees to the aquarium and other major hotels at motobu.

Dec 2025: on Google maps it shows up as a road (that can be driven through) but in fact it’s a tree lined walking path. So be aware if you’re driving. The car park has limited spaces so the surrounding houses have opened up their space for paid parking.

This is a great area to stroll around and just look at the scenery. You can rent bicycles at the very beginning, which is nice but some of the paths within do not allow bicycles. When you walk down the main road there are several roads to the left and right to explore. There are many little shops and cafes to discover, as well as yard decor and artwork to admire. If you are on a bicycle you may miss something. When you get to the end you can make your way back to the beginning along the water. Very beautiful views! We parked in a paid parking lot up the street from the location.

Following the Fukugi regular route signs, the route starts with a nice stroll through the tree lined path and returns alongside the beach & sea.
