The park opened as part of a growing trend of outdoor adventure facilities in Japan, bringing the French-originated Forest Adventure concept to the Beppu area to complement the city's traditional onsen culture with active recreation options.

The facility is situated within a forested area that takes advantage of Beppu's mountainous terrain and natural tree canopy. Forest Adventure parks are designed to work with existing trees rather than against them, creating suspended courses that blend into the forest environment. This approach allows visitors to experience the forest from an elevated perspective while navigating through challenges that include zip lines, rope bridges, suspended obstacles, and aerial platforms. The Beppu location features multiple course levels designed to accommodate different ages and skill levels, from family-friendly routes to more challenging adventure courses that can reach heights of 10 to 15 meters above the forest floor.

Visitors can expect to spend approximately two to three hours completing a full course, though this varies depending on the selected route and group size. All participants receive safety equipment including harnesses and helmets, along with instruction on proper usage before entering the courses. The continuous belay system allows participants to remain connected to the safety line throughout their journey. The longest zip line sections can extend over 100 meters, providing thrilling glides through the forest canopy with views of the surrounding Beppu landscape.

Forest Adventure Beppu is located approximately 20 minutes by car from central Beppu and JR Beppu Station. Visitors without their own transportation can take a taxi from the station, though public bus access may be limited depending on the season. The facility provides parking for those driving. Admission fees typically range from ¥2,800 to ¥3,800 per person depending on the course selected and the visitor's age, with children's rates available for younger participants who meet the height and age requirements, generally around 110 centimeters tall or older than four years of age for basic courses.
