The Fukui Prefecture General Green Center is a comprehensive public park and recreational facility located in Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture, covering approximately 65 hectares of land. Established in 1977, the center was developed as part of a prefectural initiative to provide residents and visitors with accessible green space for leisure, education, and outdoor activities. The facility serves as both a botanical garden and a family-oriented park, playing an important role in environmental education and community recreation in the region.

The center's landscape features diverse gardens showcasing seasonal flora, including extensive rose gardens with over 3,000 rose bushes representing numerous varieties, as well as Japanese-style gardens that demonstrate traditional landscaping techniques. The facility includes greenhouses where tropical and subtropical plants are cultivated year-round, offering visitors the opportunity to observe plant species not native to Fukui's temperate climate. During spring, the park becomes particularly popular for cherry blossom viewing, while autumn brings colorful foliage displays across the grounds.
