I had a chance to cross the 252-meter-long red bridge to explore Fukuurajima Island. Luckily, the weather was wonderful today with a nice, cool breeze blowing through the trees, making the coastal walk around Matsushima Bay incredibly pleasant.
The island is beautifully lush and peaceful. However, I kept thinking that if I had visited during the autumn foliage season, the views would be even more breathtaking against the red bridge. Still a highly recommended spot for a relaxing walk!
Entrance fee is 200 yen. Be ready to walk a lot here but there are benches for resting. Peaceful and quiet.

A beautiful and peaceful place to have a little hike. Walk around the island across the bridge take less than a hour. The entrance to the bridge and the island is inside the store
