What other travelers are saying about Glass Forest in Furano
When we were there, there are no performances. A little disappointing. Without that, the nice ornamentals glass seems like its just a things. But, tbe place are well kept and the assistants there are super polite and helpful.
The museum displays approximately 10,000 pieces of Venetian glass from Murano, Italy, including chandeliers, vases, tableware, and sculptures across multiple indoor galleries. An outdoor garden features glass installations among Furano's natural landscape.
Glass-crafting workshops allow visitors to create small glass accessories or ornaments with instructor guidance. A retail shop sells imported Venetian glassware and locally produced glass items.
The attraction is 15 kilometers northeast of Furano Station, about 20 minutes by car via Route 237 with free parking. Seasonal buses operate in summer, but taxis are more reliable for those without private transport.
Adult admission costs approximately 1,000 yen. Reduced rates apply for children and groups. Workshop participation requires separate fees beyond general admission.
This place is worthy of your time, and you may probably get something back home if you like something delicate and cute. There was wide variety of decorations and surely I bought a few back home for myself and my family.
