I visited Habu Park a long time ago when I was in elementary school, but these photos are from my recent visit. It's a popular park in Nakama City during cherry blossom season because of its cherry blossom blooming indicator for the Kitakyushu area.
During this time, you can rent boats on the pond and visit the Habu Shrine. It's a great place for citizens to relax and stroll on sunny days. It's also convenient because it's close to Chikuzen-Habu Station.
P.S. If you visit Habu Park during cherry blossom season, you may also want to cross the Onga Bridge to see the fluttering carp streamers in the Onga River Civic Riverside Playground. It's a beautiful sight as well and you can feel the arrival of spring at once.

Beautiful park, especially during sakura season, with beautiful illuminations. At night it looked like a fairy tale.
There are fish and turtles in the water, many people go there to feed them. The park is also great for BBQ with friends or for taking kids to enjoy fresh air, since there is a playground for kids with a zipline.
Definitely worth a visit :)
I really liked it, up until I saw the sign warning of suzumebachi or giant hornets. I'm deadly allergic so I had to run away from the park.
Beautiful park especially during sakura season for hanami
I came to this park in spring when most Sakura tree full bloom. This park is quite big. It has a river and you can ride boat. Like most park in Japan, it has many toilets in every corner. But the quality of toilets are only acceptable in Japan's standard. They have temple in the middle of it. I think that's all. Maybe in fall, the koyou is beautiful.
