I visited this temple as the 12th temple of the Bando Thirty-three Kannon Pilgrimage. It is an ancient Tendai Buddhist temple and houses a tower housing the remains of Tripitaka Priest. I visited the Thousand-Armed Kannon Bodhisattva and received a temple seal. I would definitely like to visit again when the wisteria is in bloom. There is a parking lot around the temple grounds, which was very convenient. Thank you very much.

I walked from Toyoharu Station, and noticed that many sections of the road had been repaved (perhaps the sidewalks were painted green to widen the school route?), making it safer to walk to Jionji Temple than it was during the Heisei era.

Yes, visitors can take part in meditation sessions, traditional tea ceremonies, and guided tours that provide deeper insights into the temple's history and practices.
The temple is beautiful year-round, but the chrysanthemum festival in autumn and the spring cherry blossom season are particularly popular times to visit.
Local folklore speaks of the temple being protected by guardian spirits, and it is said that prayers made here are particularly powerful, adding a mystical allure to the site.
