４月１６日、桜がちょうど満開でしたよかったです。凱旋桜の帰りに寄りました。新庄村からけっこうすぐでした。国道181号線からは桜は見えづらく、川沿いに桜があるので、通り過ぎそうになりました。川沿いに置いてあったベンチでお弁当を食べました。平日でしたが他の方々も、花見に来られていました。でも、有名なところに比べると、少ないですね。ゆっくりできました😊

April 8, 2023 (Saturday) I came to Mikawa Shukuba Sakura after hearing the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. The two days before that, we experienced some heavy rain, typical of this time of year, and today's strong winds. Unfortunately, the cold wind caused the petals to dance, and the path below the cherry blossom trees and the cobblestones of the riverbed were filled with pale pink petals. If I had been able to visit before the rain, I would have been able to enjoy an even more magnificent view of the flowers. It's such a shame. The cherry blossom trees were located on the bank of the pure Shinjo River on the Mikawa village side, stretching from one end of the village to the other. Directly below the trees, a cobblestone-like path was built on the riverbank, so close you could almost touch the river. Several stone steps led down to the path, offering an exceptional view of the cherry blossoms. Parking is available at the Maniwa City Mikan Promotion Bureau's parking lot along National Route 181, and it looked like it could accommodate around 50 cars. I don't think there were any toilets near the cherry blossoms. It would be nice if the promotion bureau was open on weekends and holidays, but you may need to be careful about that. I hope that next spring we can see even more cherry blossoms in full bloom than this year. I'll definitely be back. 　｡⁠◕⁠‿⁠◕⁠｡

The day before yesterday, TV reported that the cherry blossoms in the northern part of the prefecture were in full bloom, so I rushed off yesterday to see the Mikan Shukuba Sakura. Another thing I was looking forward to was Mikan Soba, but in case it was closed, I bought some prepared food (a hearty bento box) at Kuze Yume Town, and was fully prepared. About two hours from Okayama, I arrived at Mikan Shukuba Sakura. As expected, there weren't many people there, and luckily the Mikan Soba restaurant was closed, so I was able to enjoy the cherry blossoms at a leisurely pace. Awesome!

2025-04-19 I stopped off at the Gaisen Cherry Blossoms in Shinjo Village on my way home. They were in full bloom and very beautiful. There were hardly any people around, so I was able to enjoy the cherry blossoms at my own pace.
