It's really nice to take a leisurely stroll along the woodsy "boardwalk" along the pond's edge. The view of the trees and water is also beautiful. (＾◇＾)

This park is located in Nishiuchitsubo, Furuse-cho, Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture.
It was built around Nangō Pond, which served as the outer moat of Tanba Kameyama Castle. Located just a short walk from JR Kameoka Station, it's a popular spot for local residents to relax. At Shachihoko Square within the park, you can see a replica of the "Shachigawara" (roof tile) that once stood on the castle tower, as well as a statue of Akechi Mitsuhide, newly erected in 2019. The Kameoka Mitsuhide Festival is held here every year on May 3rd, and the park is known for its rows of cherry blossom trees, making it a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing.
It's a 5-minute walk from Kameoka Station on the Sagano Line.
