It's actually a beautiful ski resort, but even the slightest breeze causes all lifts (except for the children's lift) to close. When they are open, you can ski in the backcountry until exactly 1:30 p.m., not a second later. This is extremely restrictive, as the weather usually improves in the afternoon and they close the gates when the weather is at its best. It's best to find a resort without these ridiculous restrictions.

I was in Niseko with my family of 5 in mid Dec. It was our second ski trip would consider outselves beginner intermediate level. Compared to Niseko Village and Hirafu, we enjoyed Annupuri the most. The runs were wide, provided enough challenge without being terrifying and the snow was super powdery. The scenery was also beautiful. Lunch at the restaurant was also very convenient, reasonably priced and delicious. If visit Niseko again, i will probably base myself in Annupuri
Offers a good view over Mount Yotei and surrounding environs, however, it's certainly not the best I've been to. The slopes are interesting to play around on, but the ground suffers from negligence. Compared to Kiroro, for instance, the snow isn't tended to at Annupuri, and the facilities do seem older.
