What other travelers are saying about Noichi Zoological Park
found this zoo as we were searching for things to do nearby. Surpringsly nice!
Zoo was super cheap and a good size - not too small but not humongous either. A very good selection of animals and we easily spent 1-2 hours here.
They have toilets, souvenir shop and a cafe with hot food.
The park is open all year round except Mondays and a few designated holidays. To avoid large crowds, planning your visit on weekdays is recommended.
Various seasonal events and animal feeding shows occur throughout the year. Check the park's website for more details
Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the park, but several restaurants and snack stands are available on-site. However, you can bring your water or beverages in a refillable container.
The pathways are designed for easy navigation, and certain areas have designated wheelchair entranceways.
For safety reasons, visitors are not allowed to touch or interact with the animals without supervision from park staff during designated feeding times. The well-being of the animals is a top priority, and visitors are asked to respect their space.
I really enjoyed visiting this zoo. This was one of the nicest zoos I have been to in Japan, and I was able to a lot of unusual animals that I usually don’t see even in other zoos. Also, there was plenty of free parking, the admission cost was reasonable, and I was able to get a Ryoma Passport stamp.
I saw many unique animals. They looked pretty happy and active and some even came close or posed for pictures. I loved all the greenery and trees as well. It was raining so some exhibits were closed unfortunately.
Well presented park which focused on offering animals a more nature-based surrounding.
We were able to get around the whole park in two hours, but could have easily spent an hour longer.
