Traveler reviews

This is an advantage point over Kochi City, very beautiful and very quiet. Unfortunately, they seem to be building an observation deck which when finished will make the scenery more beautiful, no ideas when it will open but visited here in March 2026 presume it should be open within a year but that is just my guess.

On 27 March 2023, my wife and I drove up here at night. The road leading up to the top of the mountain is narrow and winding. Apart from the Kochi city at night, we also saw some Sakura blossoms. The Park is good for young lovers enjoying their privacy inside their cars. Only when we left did we know that the road is one way traffic and is pretty safe!

You cant come to Kochi and not come here, especially if you’re visiting the botanic garden and temple. Beautiful park with wooden lookout that provides stunning 300 degree views of Kochi, the surrounding mountains, and unparalleled sunset views.

I have seen so many places like this in Japan where there's a park that overlooks the city, they are all great and worth while visiting and this is no exception. The views of Kochi are spectacular, Godaisan Park is the type of place I could easily stay for a couple of hours staring at the views, I know I took a lot of pictures but I took time to savour the moment. Really neat place to visit.

This place has a nice view of the city. It is quiet and relaxing to see the cityscape from the view deck. It is included in the My Yu bus tour so one shouldn’t miss this great place to take pictures.
